About the purpose
of deepwater rockdumping




Purpose


Briefly, the purpose of rockdumping is:

  • Protection of subsea constructions: platforms, pipelines, cables and     mattresses.
  • Thermal isolation of pipelines.
  • Levelling: levelling of the seabed prior to installing platforms, caissons     and pipelines.

    • This is done in waterdepths up to 870 metres.
